Drawing Up Your CV
Whether or not you feel the need to have a career change, an up to date CV is of value to you personally to keep track of your career high points and justify your thinking.
The CV is not supposed to be a complete history and should be designed as a high level summary. Focusing on the key points about you, it should be very easy for a reader to glance through and gain a good insight into your skills, experience and background.
If it goes beyond two pages, it's too long. The temptation to oversell yourself on paper or go to great lengths to justify why you deserve the next job is huge. The CV is not the tool that opens the next career door. It is part of the presentation kit that brings you face to face with an appropriate career opportunity.
